So, the last month has been crazy. I’ve been getting more than double the comments than usual. Activity here has skyrocketed. How does that affect the commenters? Well, we have some big changes this month! And it’s keeping track of the top seven again, including me. So, I have six people to plug.
The top six commenters are based on the previous 1000 comments, nearly half of which are mine. The rest go to all of you commenters. 471 were my comments, the rest went to others. So here are the top six:
1. The top commenter is, no surprise, S. R. Carrillo with 83. That’s a big increase! Her latest post is all about her upcoming book, Cover (and Synopsis) Reveal for PROCESSION OF ETERNITY.
2. The second commenter is just the same as last month, Linda G. Hill. She had 54 comments, which is a bit of a drop. She went on vacation, which I think affected it. Her latest post is more of her writing, 132. Scenes from the Second Seat on the Right.
3. We have a new number three! With 43 comments, we have H. Anthe Davis! Her latest post is… oh, a reblog from here. It’s Authors Answer 10 – Least Favourite Genres.
4. We have a tie for number four! Moving up from fifth place with 28 comments is D. T. Nova. His latest post is about video games. Check out Video Game Challenge Day 19: That One Level.
4. Our other fourth place commenter is a newcomer to this list. That’s Thomas Weaver! He’s the twin of one of our Authors Answer members. Of course, he also has 28 comments. His latest post is “I can’t keep up with what’s been going on…”
6. And in sixth place, we have Peggy (as silverliningsanddustbunnies) with 23 comments. Her latest post is On the lighter side….
Thanks to everyone for all of your great comments! And please visit all of these great commenters’ blogs. I’m sure you’ll enjoy them.
Alas, I’ve been lax in my content-production this past month, but I should get back to my usual bewilderingly detailed cultures and maps soon.
Looking forward to it. I need to get to work on my worldbuilding posts. Lots to do. So very, very much to do.
Commenters are the lifeblood of a blog. I love all of mine too. I also noticed a big uptick in comments. Maybe it has to do with the winding down of post holiday sales.
Could be. But my view count is still above 100. It’s strange, before the New Year, I was averaging in the range of 60-75 views per day. This year, I haven’t had one day under 100 yet. The holidays are over.
I always find it pretty interesting that I’m consistently a top commenter when I literally have nothing of import to say ever.
I’m the opposite; surprised to be a top commenter even though I don’t even post every comment I think of.
And with this comment, you’ve added to the total. Or at least the last 1,000 comments has shifted…
Haha. Your comments are valuable, I think.
