October was slow, but November recovered very nicely. In fact, it started out so well, I thought it would be the best month yet, but things settled down in the second half of the month, and it was a bit more modest increase. The month ended with 1,130 followers, which is an increase of 31.
What a difference a month makes. November started out with a high average number of views per day, but slower days in the latter half dropped it down to the second best month in terms of views per day. The average was 109. 18 out of 30 days were above 100 views. The busiest day was November 4th with 169 views. In November, there were 3,273 views, which is the fourth best, but since it is a slightly shorter month, the average per day was second best. It was the 14th month in a row over 2,000 views, and the 6th time over 3,000. The total number of views at the end of November was exactly 59,999 views. Unbelievable! There were 61 posts in the month, bringing it to a total of 1,444 posts.
The month ended with 10,395 comments, 607 coming in November.
The top ten countries were:
- United States (2,111 views)
- Canada (348 views)
- United Kingdom (270 views)
- Japan (159 views)
- Australia (53 views)
- France (52 views)
- India (29 views)
- Germany (25 views)
- New Zealand (20 views)
- Singapore (19 views)
The top five posts in November were:
- Good-bye, National Geographic (90 views)
- Disgusted: Paris and More (76 views)
- A Nightmare for an Introverted Atheist (65 views)
- Please Explain Donald Trump and Ben Carson (61 views)
- Authors Answer 54 – Torturing Our Characters (60 views)
The most popular post written before November was one written only two days before November started, Authors Answer 52 – A Big Thank You. It had 103 views. First time an Authors Answer post was number one in this category.
And now for some posts you should definitely check out. They didn’t receive as many views, but they deserve a read.
- Book Review – The Neutronium Alchemist
- Week in Review – November 14, 2015
- Week in Review – November 28, 2015
- Week in Review – November 7, 2015
That’s the shortest this list has ever been. Nearly every post in November received at least 20 views. Amazing!
Finally got a review posted! I also have another review currently partly written. It will come soon.
- The Neutronium Alchemist, by Peter F. Hamilton
On Twitter, I have 2,970 followers, which is an increase of a modest 38. I follow 2,904, which is up by 42. I finished with 7,907 tweets, with 119 coming in November.
On YouTube, I uploaded no videos in November. I have 42 subscribers, which is unchanged from last month. The month ended with 8,803 views, which is an increase of 111. The 28 videos I have planned will take some time to get completely done. There’s a lot of editing to do, and I hope to get started on those in December.
Looking Ahead to December
December is always an interesting month because of the holiday at the end of the month. There are places to go, people to see, and occasionally I won’t be home much. I intend on keeping the two posts per day going, though.
What you can expect is probably three book reviews, plenty of language test drives, and most likely several videos about Japan. I need to get to work on Astronomy Quick Facts and more worldbuilding posts.
Because of the upcoming holiday, time may be a bit tight, but I’ll do what I can to provide good quality content. And I intend to keep up on replying to comments.
The Week in Review posts were started because I post so often in a week, and I wanted to provide everyone a chance to catch up, in case you were unable to read during the week. It’s still a bit of an experiment, so I will continue it this month. January will be a bit different because of the New Year holidays.
So, let’s enjoy December! Keep on reading.
