Countries I Want to Visit

How many of you like to travel? I would love to visit every country in the world. Yes, even the dangerous ones, as long as they’re not dangerous in the future. But there are some that I absolutely want to go to within the next ten years.

Below is a video where I describe the countries I want to visit. You’re welcome to read the list below the video, but you won’t get the reasons or why some of these countries are special to me. So, watch the video!

And here are the countries:

  • Norway
  • Germany
  • The UK
  • Ireland
  • Russia
  • Iceland
  • New Zealand
  • Australia
  • Costa Rica
  • Italy

So, which countries do you want to visit, and why? Let me know in the comments section below.

  1. I have wanted to go to England for such a long time. Even though I know it has a major history of colonialism, imperialism, and other oppressive acts, I’m still such an Anglophile. My favorite actors are English (Sir Patrick Stewart and Tom Hiddleston), and I just love the accent (RP forever!).

France is another one. I took French in high school and college, and I still remember enough of it to get by. It’s a beautiful language, and though I’m sure my accent is terribly American, I’d still weather Parisienne disdain 🙂

I’m also interested in visiting Germany. My husband certainly has that on his list (hint: my last name is Figenbaum so do with that what you will :p), and I know he’d love to go for Octoberfest (which apparently takes place in September from what we’ve heard) one of these years. German is also the second language I really want to learn (Latin is the first), and I annoy my hubby with insisting I’m going to be a better speaker of it than he is.

I’m going to have to say Norway at some point, too, but I’ll really take any country or locale where I can see the northern lights.
