My Daughter Shows Off Her Library Books!

I’m starting something new. My daughter gets to take home two books from her school’s library. So, we’re going to show her library books together! Warning: This video gets a bit silly. Wait until the end where she talks about a topic completely unrelated to books. But it’s cute. The cuteness compels you to watch.

Have you read either of these books? What did you think of her silliness? Let me know in the comments section below.

And did you subscribe? If you do, you get to see all of the videos I make. I don’t put them all up on here.

More New (Used) Books!

Thanks to a friend of mine who’s moving houses, I’ve added to my collection. They’re used books, but they were free. She may actually read this post. Thanks! And welcome to the neighbourhood (she and her husband are moving only three blocks from us).

So, I made a video about the books I picked up from her soon to be former home. Check out the books!

There were several books in that video I’d never heard of. If you’ve heard of them, let me know what you thought of them. Goodreads didn’t think too highly of the last book! I’m curious how that will turn out.

Comments are very welcome!

Booktube Episode 2: Attack of the Books

I’ve mentioned before about the new books I got from Amazon back in April. I have a nice picture of it. Well, now I have the same books in video form! That’s right, my Booktubing continues with my second video.

In this one, we have a kind of video called the Book Haul. Although I said it’s the June 2016 Book Haul, I got the books in April. But I made the video in June. That works, right? Anyway, here is the video.

Some things I’ve realised is that I need to look at the camera lens, not the screen, while I’m recording videos. I have a bad habit of staring at the screen. Looking is fine, because I need to position the books and make sure there’s no reflection. I really need to reduce the “um” and “uh” sounds. I could edit them out, but that would take a lot of time. I could script, but I’d keep looking at the script. I think I’ll just keep doing what I’ve been doing and edit out the biggest pauses.

Let me know what you think of the video in the comments below.
