For My Daughter’s Future

I openly oppose what Donald Trump has been doing. If you understand why, then we probably have similar opinions. If you don’t understand why, then you need to step back and examine the consequences of his actions.

Why do I oppose him, but I’m not actually American? What the US does in many cases can have effects all around the world, especially the environmental issues. This has me worried for my daughter’s future. Still don’t understand? I’m not sure if you ever will. It doesn’t need to be explained. It seems like common sense to me.

That’s all I’m going to write about this on this blog, unless something especially disturbing happens. I will continue to see what happens.

Really, Americans?

Congratulations, United States, you’re about to elect a mysoginistic, racist, anti-science, anti-vaccine, climate change denier as President. He’s also a guy who thinks only of himself, will erode the educational, scientific, and medical systems of the United States. Markets around the world are already dropping.

Wow. Well, good luck.

A New Trump Drinking Game

Tonight, I watched the debate. During the debate, my family and I became a bit frustrated/amused by Donald Trump and his answers. You see, he has a problem. Any time he’s asked a question, he likes to change the subject and talk about something related or completely different. So, here is my thought:

Every time Donald Trump doesn’t answer a question with the actual answer, take a drink. If he actually directly answers the question, don’t drink anything. See how quickly you become drunk.

It’s too bad there isn’t another debate so this can be done. However, if anyone has recorded the debate, they can try this drinking game. If you haven’t seen the debate, but plan to, why not keep a score? You don’t have to drink, but see how many times you’d have to drink.

Anyone have another drinking game idea for the debates?

Forget Clinton, Sanders, Trump, and Carson

You know what I say? Forget about Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, Donald Trump, and Ben Carson. I know the perfect team to be President and Vice President. Hear me out.

It doesn’t matter which one becomes President, but together as a team, they would be amazing. I wonder how many people would vote for this team. They’re intelligent, popular, and well-respected. People like them. They’re honest, they have high integrity, and they truly care about the world. They are wonderful educators, very peaceful, and would lead the United States to an intellectual golden age. They are the anti-Trump/Carson duo. Who are these wonderful people?

Bill Nye and Neil deGrasse Tyson.

Who’s with me? (Even though I’m not American, but a very concerned person from the neighbouring country of Canada)

Please Explain Donald Trump and Ben Carson

I’ve been interested in politics recently, both Canadian and American. Overall, it’s been very interesting.

On the Canadian side, we’ve got a new Prime Minister and government with a cabinet that seems well-chosen. I’m happy with how the Canadian government is going at the moment.

On the American side, the Democrats seem sane. However, it’s the Republican side that has me scratching my head. What the hell is up with Donald Trump and Ben Carson?

Donald Trump is edging into fascist territory with his recent policies. Ben Carson has been found less than truthful and incredibly ignorant about biological science, even though he’s a neurosurgeon. So, there’s one guy who’s blatantly trying to emulate the Nazis and one guy who’s making me wonder how he ever became a doctor.

Americans, can you please explain these two men to me? Why are they getting so much support? How in the world can Trump be the leader in the Republican Presidential nomination race? I really have to question the intelligence of Republican supporters.

If you’re a Republican, and offended by this post, please tell me in an intelligible and intelligent way why you’re offended. People with common sense would like to know.

Political Debates – Some Kind of Bizarre Reality Show

In both the US and Canada, there were a couple of political debates that could help decide the fate of a few politicians.

In Canada, we had the first political debate consisting of four of the five main political leaders (Bloc Quebecois seemed to be absent, not that they’re popular anymore). I didn’t watch it, but I had the impression that Trudeau liked to tell Harper that he was always wrong. The Conservative Party’s falling behind the NDP. Bye bye, Stephen. It seems that Mulcair has become the focus of several memes, using his humourous expressions caught on camera. And May was the apparent winner from what many people have said. Not that the Green Party will win any election. At the end, all of the leaders declared themselves the winner. Huh?

In the US, we had the Republican debate to help determine the Presidential candidate for the Republican Party. Now this was definitely a reality TV show. Again, I didn’t watch it. But it sounds like Donald Trump was being The Donald, as usual. In other words, insulting, misogynistic, and just an all around idiot. He’s out of touch with reality. He’s out of touch with everything. If he becomes the Republican Presidential candidate and wins the election and beats whoever beats Hillary Clinton (if she loses), then the United States has become a circus. No, it should become another reality show. Why not just slice the US up into little pieces, because there’d probably be civil war? It’s not just Trump, it seems the entire group of Republic candidates is full of religious fundamentalists who have no better things to do than try to tell people how they’re supposed to live, tell scientists they’re incorrect about evolution and climate change, and basically want the US to regress back to the time of the ice age. The Republicans are a train wreck. Next year’s election will be interesting, that’s for sure.

Canada’s election later this year is important. It actually seems sane, and is quite likely to completely change the face of politics in the federal government. The American election just seems like the audition part of the X-Factor, America’s Got Talent, or American Idol filled with rejects.

Are you looking forward to the elections?
