Hoping to get out of this reading slump in September. My daughter’s starting school, so while she’s learning to read, I’m going to be reading. I hope.
The book I’m reading now should be finished in the next couple weeks. I will work hard on it! And then I’ll move on to something new, one of the books I got earlier this year. Take a look at my to be read list.
So, if I can finish Revelation Space, I’ll move on to N. K. Jemisin’s The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms, then Andy Weir’s The Martian. I’m really looking forward to them.
What are you planning to read in September? Let me know in the comments below.
Do you love reading? I do. I love it so much I want to get myself into the worlds that exist in the books. But I find I’m not reading much at the moment. I’m on the same book I started in February. That’s too long! So, I need to get myself to read. Just set aside a little time. Reading is good for you! It can help you increase your vocabulary, reduce stress, and it’s good mental and emotional therapy. Some people say it can even make you more successful. But I just enjoy it.
Here is my challenge for myself: Set aside thirty minutes a day when I can be alone in a quiet place and read. I should be able to finish the book I’m reading within two weeks and finish another book by the end of this month. So, I’m going to do it!
I talked about this in a video, as well. If you like cute things, watch the video! My daughter is in it. She wants hearts.
So, how do you set aside time for yourself to read? Let me know in the comments below. Also, send some hearts for my daughter. She wants some.
As I’ve mentioned before, I really have to start reading more again. I’ve slowed down far too much. The book I’m reading right now has taken me so long to read, but it’s not because of the book. I’m really enjoying it.
I decided to start making videos each month talking about the books I read in the month that just finished and what I’d like to read in the current month. So, here it is:
I feel like I’m going to keep talking about Redemption Ark, but I want to finish it! The next two books are much shorter, and should be a lot easier to get through. And best of all, they’re newer books that I just got. It’ll be great to read more recently written books.
Have you read any of these books? Let me know in the comments below.
