C. K. grew up in a small southern town. Much like the one she writes about in Dead in the Water. As her 40th birthday approached she decided it was time to stop dreaming of being a writer and just do…it. She is a graduate of the University of Alabama. Since leaving the teaching profession she has accumulated countless tales rooted in the South’s rich history and culture. Her short stories cross genres and have been published online and in print. She lives in Mobile with her husband and two daughters. All three are a constant source of inspiration.
